Betty Jean Wilson Campbell, 90, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life on Monday February 3, 2025, at the Advent Gordon Hospital.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1934, in Pickens County, Ga., a daughter of the late James Victor and Josie Bell Chastain Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joe Lee Campbell, daughter Martha Ann Campbell, brothers, Norman Wilson, Hubert Wilson, Clinton Wilson, Jordan Wilson, Ronald Wilson.
She was a member of Eastgate Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jack Robert Campbell of Cleveland; daughters and son-in-law, Delorise and Andy Stamey, Margaret Campbell of Calhoun, Ga.; brother, James Wilson of Ranger, Ga.; grandchildren, Michelle and Cleve Corley; Holly and Chris Woods; Angie and Britten Easley; Joey and Darla Campbell; Cody Ponder; Jacqueline and Scott Guzman; Angela and Dan O’Connel; Jeanna and Jason Godfrey; eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Jean Wilson Campbell will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 3 p.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Kenny Rogers officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery with CJ Corley, Trevor Wilson, Larry Wilson and Jeff Ponder serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-3 p.m. on Wednesday.
