Legislature Is Benefiting Those With Too Much, Forgetting Those With Too Little

I read yesterday of the proposal to allow schools to refuse to educate the children of illegal immigrants. Surely a similar bill will follow to allow those medical facilities who cannot now turn away anyone requiring emergency care to hereafter refuse care to illegal immigrants requiring such emergency care.

As a citizen I only have one vote. Nevertheless– at least for now - I can publicly say I personally find this morally reprehensible, beyond being bad public policy. 

The proposed bill follows on the heels of a voucher bill that will unquestionably benefit almost exclusively those who already have to the detriment of those that do not have. I have to wonder if part of the purpose here is to ensure funds for those vouchers. 

I am trying to deal psychologically with a legislature whose primary focus - to the extent that it requires a special session - is to benefit those who already have much, while endeavoring to take even a basic education from others who have little. It is hard to understand or stomach.
