The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team kicked off its spring break festivities with a dominant 7-0 shutout over Midland University during a neutral site non-conference matchup in Hilton Head, S.C., on Wednesday afternoon.
Chattanooga (9-7) topped NAIA-member Midland (2-3) in the first-ever meeting between the two schools with a smooth shutout across the board. This match marked the final non-conference dual for the team this season as the attention turns to SoCon play beginning on Sunday at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
After Sunday's SoCon opener at The Citadel, Chattanooga will stay on the road with a Friday, March 21, matchup at Samford before hosting four-straight league contests beginning with Mercer on Sunday, March 23, at the UTC Tennis Center.
