Individuals Sleeping In Truck Found With Drugs - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

25-003982 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suspicious Activity / Arrest
Police observed a suspicious truck parked outside of the laundry, and two individuals were seen sleeping in it. Officers woke up the occupants and identified them. The occupants consented to a search of the vehicle which yielded a 9mm handgun, 4.0 grams of methamphetamine, a small bag of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
One was taken into custody and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The other was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

Day Shift April 15: A Squad

No Complaint Number – 1400 BLK St Thomas Street – Assist Other Agency
ERPD assisted Chattanooga Airport Police in tracking down an Apple iPhone that was left at the airport and was locating at the residence on St Thomas Street. ERPD spoke with a neighbor who manages the airport cleaning crew. He placed the resident at the airport the day the phone went missing. The party returned the phone to the Airport Police.

25-003958 – 5500 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglar Alarm
Police responded for a burglar alarm activation. Officers spoke with an employee who stated the alarm was accidental.

25-003965 – 700 BLK S Lovell Avenue – Intoxicated Person
Police responded to S Lovell on a report an intoxicated male walked through a neighbor’s yard. Police found the man, who was celebrating his birthday, showed signs of impairment. He was asked to return home and to not return to the public until he was sober.

25-003956 – 1100 BLK Spring Creek Road – Theft
A party reported an Uber driver took off before allowing her to retrieve her backpack from the vehicle. The driver was identified and contacted by officers. He advised he would return the caller’s belongings.

25-003964 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder –
An employee called police after a man tried to fight the owner for not allowing him to charge his cell phone in the lobby. The offending party was issued a criminal trespass warning and left without incident.

25-003966 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Deceptive Practice
An employee called police after an unknown female tried to pass two fraudulent $20 bills. When the employee told her the bills were fake, the woman left in a hurry towards a nearby hotel. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

25-003969 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Check Wellbeing
A caller requested police check on a party out of concern she was suicidal and unable to feed her children. The woman said she had just ordered food for the children and stated she did not wish to harm herself or anyone else. Officers observed two children in the room, both of whom appeared to be in good health. The caller was provided with an update.

25-003972 – 6800 BLK Beulah Drive – Miscellaneous Complaint
Following an Adult Protective Services referral, officers spoke with a resident. The referral alleged the party had recently added an unauthorized user to her bank account and had transactions totaling over $49,000.00 since the user was added. The party confirmed she did not add anyone to any account and was unsure of any large transactions being made. She stated she would visit her banks and contact police if a theft report was needed.

25-003926- 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd.- Unknown 911
Police responded to the 3900 block of Ringgold Road but did not observe any signs of distress.

25-003970- 3700 BLK Olmstead Dr.- Civil Matter
Police called the resident of this address. Upon speak with the resident, she disclosed she was being evicted by her landlord. The resident alleged the landlord had harassed her by asking when she was going to move out. Police advised the resident that her landlord can inquire as to when she is moving out to get the property ready for new tenants.

25-003967 – 30 BLK Frawley Road - Harassment
Police spoke with the reporting party who stated he had an Order of Protection placed against him by his ex-girlfriend and had multiple incidents of her passing by his residence and yelling at him from her vehicle. He wanted the incident to be documented. Police then spoke with the suspect and informed her that if she continued with what she was doing, she could be charged with harassment. She understood and stated she would no longer pass by his residence.

Night Shift April 15: C Squad

25-003977 – 4100 BLK Monroe Street – Traffic Stop / Arrest
Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested for driving while his license was revoked for DUI. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-003978 – 500 BLK Wando Drive – Civil Matter
An anonymous citizen made several complaints of men yelling in the street. Police responded twice and each time located a group of men working on a car. No disorder, criminal activity, or inappropriate noises were noted.

25-003980 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft / Criminal Trespass
A restaurant employee reported that a known man walked out without paying for his food. Police located him at a nearby hotel and spoke with him regarding the situation. He agreed to pay for his outstanding check and went back to the business. The manager on duty denied prosecution for the theft, but requested he be trespassed from the restaurant.

25-003981 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Mentally Disturbed
A party contacted the Hamilton County Dispatch and stated he was hearing voices. The subject stated he had mental health issues and requested medical assistance. Police responded to the location and spoke with the subject. Officers transported the party where he was admitted for a medical evaluation.

25-003983 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency
Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested on a warrant out of the Hamilton County Sessions Court. Police also found he had three confirmed arrest warrants out of Catoosa County, GA for theft related charges. The subject was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
