Erlanger Sports Medicine Offers Sports Physicals For Upcoming School Year

  • Tuesday, April 22, 2025
Erlanger Sports Medicine will offer two opportunities for area students to receive their pre-participation sports physicals for the 2025-2026 school year. Physicians are offering two dates: April 26, at Erlanger Primary Care - South at 60 Erlanger South Dr., Suite A in Ringgold, and May 3, at Erlanger Sports Medicine at 1100 E. 3rd Street Suite G-102 in Chattanooga.

Erlanger Sports Medicine will host both events from 8-11 a.m. Students in grades nine through 12 who attend Erlanger-affiliated schools will not be charged for their sports physical.
Non-Erlanger-affiliated schools’ in grades six through 12 will be charged a $15 fee. It's important to note that a sports physical does not replace an annual check-up with a primary care physician or pediatrician. No appointments are needed, but students should arrive no later than 11 a.m.

"Pre-participation sports physicals are a great opportunity every year for our Erlanger sports physicians to get involved with the health and wellness of our athletes and families in our amazing community,” said Dr. Matthew Chatfield, Erlanger Sports Medicine medical director. “The event provides our sports medicine trained physicians the chance to help keep the talented young athletes of the greater Chattanooga area safe, healthy and on the field/court doing what they love."
