Chuck Gilbert, 63, of Soddy Daisy passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Chuck was born on Dec. 1, 1961, to the late Gary and Dotty Gilbert.

Chuck dedicated 43 years of his life to Card Monroe Corporation, where he served faithfully and enjoyed his career as the plant manager of the Ringgold facility. Known for his strong work ethic and steady leadership, Chuck was a respected figure among his colleagues and friends.

Outside of work, Chuck was most at peace in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, early morning fishing trips — especially before the heat of the day set in — and camping, as long as the weather wasn’t too hot. More than anything, Chuck adored his grandchildren, each of whom had a special nickname just for him. He cherished the time spent with them and the joy they brought into his life.

Chuck’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His sense of humor, love of nature, and deep devotion to his family will never be forgotten.

Chuck is survived by the love of his life of 13 years and wife, Cindy Gilbert; his son, C.J. (Camaron) Gilbert, his stepson, Mitch (Michelle) Reburn; four beloved stepdaughters: Jaclyn (Jeremy) Bates, Brandy (Jason) MacFie, Crystal (Mike) Crittenden, and Megan Leamon; sister, Dee Dee (Scotty) Edgemon; grandchildren, Lorelai Gilbert, Mason Reburn, Lily Westerwal, Carter Crittenden, Madison MacFie, and Sebastian MacFie; nephew, Hunter (Lauren) Edgemon; niece, Haven Edgemon; great nieces, Scottie and Sutton Edgemon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend, Steve Gaither, whose memory remained close to Chuck’s heart throughout the years.

Chuck’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His sense of humor, love of nature, and deep devotion to his family will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 3:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday and from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. There will not be a formal funeral service.

Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy Daisy, Tn. 37379, 423 843-2525. To share memories, photos or condolences, please visit www.legacyfuneralhome.com.
