Breaking open an even game, Soddy Daisy rallied for four runs in the third and a half dozen more in the bottom of the fifth to end its Monday game with visiting Bradley Central early.
The 11-1 "mercy rule" win puts the Trojans at 18-11-2 during the regular as they prepare for postseason play, while the Bears slip to 15-14-1, with a season wrap up game hosting Boyd Buchanan Tuesday evening.
Bradley started the game strong with a single by Cleveland State commit Jaxon Humble, a one-out double by Tyler Cook and a two-out knock by Carson Stott for the RBI.
Soddy Daisy evened the score in the bottom of the first when an opening walk to L Williams and a single by Braylon Maynor set up Jake Jackson for the RBI ground out.
The Trojans put up a 4-spot in the third frame with Williams drawing a one-out walk before two-out run-scoring singles by Jackson and Braden Shell.
Noah Berry plated the other two scores with triple.
In the game's final at bat, the hosts put together five hits and drew four free passes to notch six more scores and invoke the "run rule."
After Jackson was "plunked" to reach for the third time, he advanced to second on a passed ball and scored when Shell stroked a one-out single.
Berry followed with a one-base knock and after the second strikeout of the half inning Dallas Meneely jammed the sacks with a base on balls. Maddox Eversole brought in a pair of runs with a single, before Williams "took one for the team" to reload the bases.
Maynor delivered a run-scoring single and Jackson walked to once again fill the bags, setting the stage for Cooper Poe ended the game with a one-base knock to plate the final run.
Stephen Vickers picked up the pitching win with three innings of one-hit shutout relief work, striking out four and a pair of walks.
