“He Lives” will be the theme of the April Red Back Hymnal Singing on Sunday, April 20, at the Hullander Farm on London Lane in Apison.
Organizers Bill and Linda Hullander said the Easter event is one of their most popular of the year. He said, “Since Jesus Christ arose on the first day of the week and HE held the first Sunday night service with his disciples, this is the perfect way to spend a Sunday evening, singing about the Death, Burial and Resurrection.”
Mr. Hullander said, “We will sing a lot of the songs associated with Easter — 'He Lives', 'Power in the Blood', 'In the Garden', 'At Calvary', 'The Old Rugged Cross', 'Near the Cross', and 'At the Cross'.
Mr. Hullander said, “Evangelist and Gospel Singer Johnathan Bond will be our special guest and share his testimony. Paramedics pronounced him dead in a traffic accident in 1991 but God healed him. We invite everyone to hear his very interesting story.”
Mr. Hullander said the singing will start at 6:00 and light refreshments will be served. The event is free but a love offering will be taken.
Sue Gray and Jack Clark will provide the music.
Mr. Hullander said, “It’s important to remember because of the Resurrection we can all face tomorrow and that will be the focus of this month’s Red Back Hymnal Singing. Everyone is invited to come and share with us.”
