David Welch
David Welch, 69, of Dunlap, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2025.
David was born and raised in the heart of Chattanooga. Before retiring from the Chattanooga Free Press he enjoyed reeling back bass and capturing breathtaking pictures with his camera.
David was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Welch, mother, Laura Olivia Oakley, brother, Kenneth Welch, and Steven Welch.
He is survived by his daughter, Marrissa (Brent) Bowman, brother, Michael (Valerie) Welch, grandchildren, Austin and Amelia, and several nieces and nephews.
An honoring of his life will be held at a later date.
Many thanks to the nurses and oncology staff at CHI Memorial who took excellent care of him in his last few days on this Earth.
