Stuart Heights Wins Swim League Opening Meet

Monday was the opening day for the 2025 Chattanooga Area Swim League with 12 of the 14 teams seeing action for the first time under “official conditions.” It’s always like a Chinese fire drill in these meets as everyone is trying to get a handle on where they’re supposed to be and just how to do what is expected. It goes for the swimmers, coaches and parents as well as they all have a vital part in a meet’s success. The Stuart Heights Sharks got off to a positive start with a win ... more

Lookouts Outpitch Smokies In Extra Innings

Starting pitcher Kevin Abel had his best performance of the season Wednesday night leading the Lookouts to a 3-1 victory over the Knoxville Smokies. Abel tossed six innings allowing only one run on five hits with six strikeouts. Reliever Jared Lyons picked up the victory with two shutout innings. Designated hitter Ruben Ibarra had two runs batted in for Chattanooga. The Lookouts and Smokies return to action Thursday night in Knoxville at 7 p.m. more
