CARTA will hold a public hearing to gather feedback on proposed fare adjustments for the Incline Railway, Care-A-Van paratransit service, and CARTA Go microtransit service. Officials said the amounts of the adjustments will be unveiled at the hearing. CARTA representatives will be available to provide details and answer questions, it was stated. The hearing is Thursday, May 8, from 5-7 p.m. at the Public Library on Broad Street in the first floor auditorium. more

We all know to expect the unexpected when district tournaments begin. That was surely the case at Soddy Daisy’s Tom Higgins Field Wednesday afternoon where the District 6-AAA baseball tournament got underway with the first game in the Best of Three series for the semifinals. Lookouts Fall To Biscuits 10-2

The Chattanooga Lookouts dropped their series opener to the Montgomery Biscuits 10-2 on Tuesday night. Starting pitcher Kevin Abel took the loss allowing six earned runs on ten hits in four innings of work. Catcher Michael Trautwein led the Lookouts offensively going 2-3 including his second homerun of the season. The Lookouts continue their series at Montgomery on Wednesday afternoon at noon. more
