Louise W. Patterson, 88, of Chattanooga died Monday, May 27, 2002.

She was a native of Uniontown, Ala., before moving to Chattanooga in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Patterson; and a daughter, Emma Patterson.

Mrs. Patterson was a faithful member of St. Peters Primitive Baptist Church in Uniontown, where she was a member of the choir. She united with New Anointing Pure Holiness Church of God, where Bishop A.D. Ringer is pastor, after moving to Chattanooga.

Survivors are children, Henry, George and John Patterson, Chattanooga, James Patterson, Atlanta, Rev. Ben Patterson and Marie McIlwain, Buffalo, N.Y., and Mary Patterson and Geraldine Norman, White Plains, N.Y.; two sisters, Lizzie B. Ball, Chattanooga, and Urie May Gray, Detroit, Mich.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.
