Gaylene Anne Nash, 63, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, June 10, 2002, in a local hospital.
She was born on May 2, 1939, in Whittier, Calif. She was married on July 8, 1961, to Stanley P. Nash. Over the years she was affiliated with the animal control center in DuPage County, Ill. Also, she worked at Jefferson County Wisconsin Country Side Nursing Home and Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Jefferson, Wis.
She and her husband, Stanley Nash, moved to Chattanooga in 1995. Her hobbies included RV traveling, dancing and sewing. She shared a great love for German shorthaired pointers.
She is survived by her husband, Stan Nash of Chattanooga.
She and Stan had celebrated 40 years of marriage. She was the mother of four children, Christopher (Cindy) Nash, both of Jefferson, Wis., Kendrick (Alissa) Nash, both of Little Chute, Wis., Cynthia (Kyle) Brom, both of Jefferson, Wis., and Gaylene Nash of Ormo, Wis. She was the grandmother of Jared and Amanda Brom, Jennifer and Scott Nash, Pearson, Shannon, Courtney and Lauren Nash.
She is survived by a brother, Frank "Tommy" Thompson, of Australia.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 1 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Father Herbert Prescott officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
