James Curtis Brock, 68, of Ringgold, died on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003.
Mr. Brock was a native of the Englewood, in McMinn County, Tn. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War where he received the Good Conduct Medal, China Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and then received his Honorable Discharge as a Corporal. He was a former employee of Synthetic Industries. He was of the Church of God faith. He had resided the past 40 years in the North Georgia area.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis L. Brock Sr.; and sister, Aliene Brock.
Survivors include his wife, Anna P. Kirkland Brock; son and daughter-in-law, James and Lori Brock, all of Ringgold, Ga.; mother, Hazel L. Parrott Brock of Englewood, Tn.; brothers, Kenneth Brock of Rossville, Tommy Brock of Riceville, Tn., Robert Brock, Lewis L. Brock Jr., both of Madisonville, Tn., Amos Brock of Englewood, Tn., Billy Brock of Effie, La., Paul Brock of Athens, Tn.; sisters, Juanita Vick of Soddy-Daisy, Tn., Lillian Wood of McMinnville, Tn., Mary Ann Trew of Etowah, Tn., Betty Smith of Englewood, Tn., Ruby Russell of Maryville, Tn.; three grandchildren, Josh Brock of Ringgold, Kurt Brock of Soddy-Daisy, Kevin Brock of East Ridge; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday graveside at Mars Hill Cemetery, Englewood, Tn.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
