Reggie White's funeral and burial will be in Charlotte, N.C., not in his native Chattanooga.
The famed football player died Sunday morning at the age of 43.
The Mecklenburg, N.C., medical examiner said the cause may have been a respiratory problem coupled with other health problems. He had sleep apnea for the past several years.
A public service will be held Wednesday in Charlotte and a private service in Charlotte on Thursday.
He was born in Chattanooga and played basketball and football for Howard High.
His mother and other family members still live here.
Reggie White settled in the town of Cornelius near Charlotte after playing his last year of pro football with the Carolina Panthers.
