The man charged in a murder on Taylor Street Thursday night has waived extradition and been moved from Rossville, Ga., to the Hamilton County Jail.

Victor Allen Narramore is charged in the murder of his uncle, Jerry Henley, 61, that occurred at 2212 Taylor.

The arrest was made early Friday morning by the Chattanooga Police Homicide Division in conjunction with the Fugitive Division, Lt. Steve Blevins of the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department, Rossville Police Department, and the Walker County Sheriff's Department.

Narramore was taken into custody at 601 James St., Lot #16, in Rossville at approximately 2 a.m. without incident.

Detective Ralph Freeman said a disorder occurred between the suspect and the victim, and Narramore shot the victim in the head once with a sawed off shotgun.

Detective Freeman said the murder weapon was recovered along with other evidence.

He is charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of felonious posession of an unlawful weapon.

Police said they had responded to 2212 Taylor to check on the well being of a person after neighbors advised that they had not seen the resident in two days.

Police checked the home at 7:30 p.m.

Police gained entry to the residence and located the body of Mr. Henley with a severe trauma wound to the head.
