Eva Hill "MaMaw" Robinson died on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006. She was the mother of the singing Hill Family.
She was preceded in death by her children, Freddie Hill and Gwendolyn "Mookie" Stone, and first husband, the Rev. Willie G. Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell "Bob" Robinson; daughters, Lorena Hill Morgan, Willie (Gina) Gresham and Vivian O’Neal, all of Chattanooga; son, Alvin L. (Debra) Hill Sr., Atlanta; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Nettie Pearl Howard, Mary Hill, of Fort Valley, Ga., and Alice (George) Davis, of Sand Bernardino, Ca.; brother, Mose Shine Jr., of Fort Valley; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; and many many friends.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, at 11 a.m. at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Robert L. Allen and other ministers officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in her honor.
Visitation will be after noon Wednesday at the McCallie Avenue Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
