Edward Brown "Bud" Huntley, 80, died on Monday, June 19, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a Army veteran of World War II.
He was born in the Tarlton Valley on Oct. 16, 1925, to George Ballard and Clara Hillis Huntley who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Clatar Smartt, Genetta Vaughn, Magdelene Whitman and Mildred Roberts; and brother, George "Peck" Huntley.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Melba McGee Huntley; son, Freeman Huntley, of Manchester; daughter, Glenda (William) Eubanks, of Beersheba Springs; grandchildren, Ricky Huntley, Marie Nunley and Kayla Eubanks; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Huntley and Gracie Nunley.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. CDT Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church in Beersheba Springs, with Pastor Ed Dudley and Brother Johnny Gross officiating. Burial will follow in the Schild-Tate Cemetery.
