Governmental Prayer Alliance Launches Across State

  • Friday, September 15, 2006

Churches, ministries, and people of faith are being encouraged and invited to join a network of intercessors across the state of Tennessee as the Tennessee Governmental Prayer Alliance (TGPA) is launched in all 95 counties of Tennessee.

The TGPA is a ministry that is dedicated to enlisting, encouraging and mobilizing effective governmental intercessors across the state of Tennessee. They work to build a canopy of prayer over governmental leaders in the state and nation.

The TGPA embraces and heeds the call from the Apostle Paul in I Timothy 2:1-2 to serve those in authority through prayer. The mission is to serve each governmental leader across the state and nation through prayer.

To enlist in the alliance visit www.tngpa.com, or contact the TN State Facilitator Marlene Tidwell at tngpa@comcast.net or (615) 661-4249. By enlisting in the alliance participants will receive email updates of current issues, serve those in governmental authority through prayer, be invited to be a part of a team that prays in the TN State Capitol as well as travel to Washington D.C. on prayer tours, and be provided opportunities to attend regional and statewide governmental intercession training meetings.

The TGPA will work together and under the leadership of the National Governmental Prayer Alliance (NGPA), led by founder Dutch Sheets. The NGPA will serve as a clearinghouse for information on the activities of the three branches of government at the national and state levels.
