Brown International Academy Hosts Dancing With The Stars Monday

The community is invited to Brown International Academy’s fundraising event on Monday at 7 p.m. to experience the school's version of Dancing with the Stars contest.

The school's administrators, teachers, and staff have prepared for the first annual gala that will benefit the educational needs of the students. The dancers were taught by a professional dance instructor, Chris Garcia, how to formally dance.

Tickets are on sale now and are $5 for adults and $1 for children. There are a minimum number available.

Those participating include Reggie Upshaw, education teacher, with Lea Ann Burk, principal; Mike Lewis, fourth grade teacher, with Liza O’Conner, pre-K teacher; Nick Fike, PE teacher, with Ashley Latham, first grade teacher; James Bacon, computer/technology teacher, with Dawn Rowe, kindergarten teacher; Aaron Luke, Fast ForWord computer teacher, with Vanessa Harris, assistant principal and Billy Campbell, fifth grade teacher, with Shannon Morrow, Spanish teacher.
