Larry Lane, the owner of the defunct Larry Lane Motors at 5500 Hixson Pike, has been arrested by Chattanooga Police fraud investigators on charges stemming from bad business dealings at his car dealership.

Lane is accused of taking vehicles to sell for individuals, keeping the proceeds and altering titles on the vehicles.

His case was presented before the Hamilton County Grand Jury by Investigator Larry Lockmiller on Oct. 22 for theft over $60,000, eight counts of forgery, eight counts of falsifying a title, and failure to deliver title.

Indictments were handed down by the Grand Jury and Lane was arrested on Wednesday.

Since that time, Lane has acquired another charge of theft over $1000 from another case involving his car dealership.
