Bobby Boran
Robert “Bobby” Boran Sr., 42, of East Brainerd, died on Thursday, March 5, 2009.
Bobby was a native of Chattanooga, a 1985 graduate of Northwest Georgia High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He received his nursing degree from Dalton State and was currently employed with Siskin Hospital.
Bobby was a veteran who served our country in the Army and Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid racing fan and loved to play the guitar.
Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Paul David Boran; his uncle, Richard “Rick” Boran and a lifelong friend, Gregory “Kent” Smith of Trenton, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Beard Boran; four children, Tiffany Nicole Boran, and fiancée Patrick Simerley, Robert “Robbie” Dewayne Boran, Jr., and fiancée Stephanie Donahoo, Karleigh Danielle and Kendall Elizabeth Boran; grandchildren, Brenden James Boran and Katilyn Marie Simerley; parents, Paul “Sonnie” and Wanda “Carolyn” Boran; grandmother, Ella Mae Boran; sister, Sharlet Boran Tolley and husband David; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Bobby will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the North Chapel. Burial will follow in National cemetery with the Vietnam Veterans Local #203 providing military honors.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to a Trust Fund in Wendy’s name at any SunTrust Bank.
