A federal grand jury in Greeneville has indicted Anthony Kent Holcombe, 43, of Jonesborough on child pornography charges.
A trial date has been set for June 25 in United States District Court in Greeneville.
Holcombe is charged with the distribution, receipt, and possession of child pornography. If convicted, he faces a term of imprisonment of not less than five years and not more than 20years on the first two counts and a maximum term of imprisonment of 10 years on the third count; fines of a maximum of $250,000 on each count; and, lifetime supervised released on each count.
Holcombe resigned his position at Jonesborough Middle School and has been ordered detained in federal custody until his trial.
The indictment of Holcombe is the result of an investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
