Diane Swaney
Diane Swaney, 69, of Ringgold, died on Friday, Oct. 21 at her daughter's residence, after a long battle with emphysema and C.O.P.D.
She was of Baptist faith and had lived her lifetime in Catoosa County and Chattanooga. She enjoyed watching television, reading, and talking with her neighbors, the Hickmans, Blackwells, Bakers and Reeds who have always been so wonderful, especially these last several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Ruby Ross, sister, Donna Crabtree, and her loving husband of 33 years, Fincher "Clyde" Swaney.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Buddy (Lee) Daffron, Mojave Ca.; daughter, Kendra Cross, Fort Oglethorpe; grandchildren, Lewis Daffron, Rosamond Ca., and Angela (James) Brown, Jr., Rosamond, Ca.; four great-grandchildren, Trinity Dion, Kristina Lavinger, James Brown III, and Stormy Brown; sister, Andrea Ross, Murfreesboro, Tn.; sister-in-law Bobbie (RJ) Citty, East Ridge, and brother in-law, Joe (Pat) Swaney, Chattanooga, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 24, in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens with Bryson Connelly and Travis Rogers officiating.
The family will begin receiving friends after 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, and prior to leaving for the service on Monday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the employees of Country Side Hospice in Lafayette for the wonderful care, patience, and genuine love and compassion they have shown our mother over the last year.
