Connie Atkins Retires From Hamilton County Department Of Education

Connie Atkins, assistant superintendent of human resources for the Hamilton County Department Of Education, announced Friday she will retire this month, capping a nearly 30 year career in the Human Resources industry.

Mrs. Atkins joined Hamilton County Department of Education as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in June 2005 under the leadership of former Superintendent Dr. Jesse Register. She stayed in that capacity under Superintendent Dr. Jim Scales, leading the way to streamlined processes in Human Resources and implementation of the new evaluation system, Project COACH.

Prior to coming to Hamilton County, Mrs. Atkins worked in a variety of Human Resources roles in private industry.
