Willie Roy Lester, 82, of Summerville, Ga., died on Thursday, June 2, 2011.
He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Mount Vernon Mills, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Estelle Lester; brother, Mr. Emery Lester; and daughter, Ms. Mattie E. (Lill Lester) Stewart.
Survivors are four sons, Willie J. (Belen) Lester of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Robert L. (Sandrine) Lester, Frankie J. (Sophia) Lester of Naples, Fla. and Steven E. Adams of Summerville; daughter, Annie L. Lester of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren, Audrey (D. D.) Stewart of Summerville, Tywarren D. (Sonya) Lester of Bradenton, Fla., Terrance J. (Jennifer) Lester of Naples, Fla., Willie E. (Brandy) of Jacksonville, Fla., Steven Adams, Jasmine Adams of Chattanooga, Willie J. Lester of Stillwater, Okla., Lydia A. Lester, Anthony D. Lester, Rever N. L. Lester and Daniella I. Lester of Naples, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren; special aunts and uncles, Robert (Sadie) Lester of Summerville, Albert C. (Vernell) Lester of Denver, Harold L. Lester of Chattanooga, Katherine Lester Adams of Summerville and Clara Johnson of Trion; special friend, Ms. Corrielee Wooten; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service for Mr. Willie Roy Lester will be Saturday, June 11, at 1 p.m. at the New Spirit and Truth Assembly, 487 Scoggins Street, Summerville, with Pastor V. T. Harden, Rev. Robert Lester, Eulogist, and other ministers officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Saturday, June 11.
Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
