Janis, Raymond F. Jr. (Cleveland)

Raymond F. Janis, Jr., 79, of Cleveland, Tn., died Sunday, August 28, 2011 in a local hospital.

He was an engineer with M&M Mars and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Iris Schilling Janis of Cleveland; two sons, William S. Janis of Seattle and Raymond S. Janis of Charleston; one daughter, Debbie Cook and husband Scott of Phoenix; and one granddaughter, Kasey Cook.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Sescon officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery beginning at 1:30 p.m. and concluding with military honors.

Grissom Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
