Paul Sedwick Cass, 73, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  

Paul was born and raised in Augusta, Maine and was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1957.  Following graduation, Paul joined the Air Force where he served his country proudly for over 20 years.  Upon retirement from the Air Force he and his family relocated to Chattanooga.  At the time of his death, Paul was employed at the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Sarah Cox Cass of Red Bank; daughter, Anna (Robby) Lane of Hixson; son, P. Scott Cass of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters, Phyllis (Robert) McMillian, South China, ME, Geraldine (Russell, deceased) Mundi of Portland, ME; brother, Gerald ( Daisy) Cass, Augusta, ME; grandchildren Cassie and Dustin Lane of Nashville, TN.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga, especially Doug Albritton and Pat Flowers, for the loving care they provided.

Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, July 30, at National Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation is from 4–8 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, 423 877-3524.
