Police Blotter: Lady Of The Street Flimflammed By "Customer"

  • Thursday, July 5, 2012

A lady of the street reported to city police that she was flimflammed by a "customer."

She said she was picked up by a black male in a green vehicle on Fourth Avenue. He took her to 18th Avenue, where she performed several sex acts. She said there had not yet been an agreement on the charge for her services.

She said she was standing outside his car readjusting her clothing when he suddenly took off with the door still open. She said she tried to hold onto the door handle, but lost her grip.

She said he got away with her change purse that contained her birth certificate, Tennessee ID and a $50 money order.

An officer drove her to the Kanku's on Dodds Avenue, where she canceled the money order.

Police said she had an abrasion on her right knee, but she declined medical attention.

Police were summoned to the state vehicle inspection station on Austin Drive.

A customer was very unhappy with the results of his vehicle evaluation.

When he left he said what sounded like, "I'll be back with a gun."

He was in a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. The tag was traced to Wilder Road.

Destini Alexander of Comet Trail said eggs were thrown at her car. She was able to clean up the mess before the paint was damaged.

A woman reported seeing a light-skinned, heavy-set woman near the car.

Ms. Alexander said that sounds like a woman she has had several run-ins with.
