Ingle, Preston "P.D." (Cleveland)

Preston “P.D.” Ingle, 86, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 in a local health care facility. 

P. D. was the son of the late Fleta Ballard Ingle and Dallas Ingle; and was also preceded in death by his sister, Clara Torrence; and his brother, David Ingle.

P. D. was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was retired from Sterchi/Helig Meyer Furniture as office Manager with 49 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed watching NASCAR! P. D. was a long time member of the North Cleveland Church of God where he served as usher for more than 40 years and head usher for a number of years. He also worked in the Church office after his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Jaylene Ingle of Cleveland; his son, Doug Ingle and his wife Donna of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Josh Ingle and his wife Christin of Fort Oglethorpe and Julie McBride and her husband George of Cleveland; step-grandchildren, Kel Stansell and his wife Kristen; great- grandchildren, Abby Ingle and Jeremiah and Josie Painter and Kellar and Kensley Stansell; his brothers, Howard Ingle of Plano, TX, George Ingle of Asheville, NC, Jack Ingle of Arden, NC, Reuben Ingle of Madison, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, October 27 at 12:30 p.m. from the North Cleveland Church of God, Dixon Chapel with Pastor Cy Harris and Reverend Cecil Guiles officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Roger York, Don Young, Ed Brown, Ashley Smith, Franklin Lemons, Franklin Odom, Jimmy Wilson and Don Warrington serving as pallbearers. Also serving as honorary pallbearers are current and past North Cleveland Church of God ushers. Military honors will be given. A Dove release will conclude the services. 

The family will receive friends from 10:30-12:30 Saturday, October 26 at the Dixon Chapel of the North Cleveland Church of God. 

The North Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements. 

The family request memorials be made to North Cleveland Church of God Benevolence Fund.
