Veronica Elizabeth Hise Bowman, 88, of East Ridge, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
A native of Richmond, Va., she was a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 51 years, she was a former employee of Erlanger Medical Center and a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Edward Bowman; parents, William Frank and Goldie Estelle Miller Hise; sister, Dorothy Refke, two brothers, Frank Hise Jr., and Phillip Hise and grandson, Jason Lloyd Scott.
She is survived by three children, Sterling (Drew) Vanosdale of East Ridge, Alise Bowman of Rossville, and Josh Hayes (Sandra) Bowman of Spring City, Tn.; five grandchildren, Veronica, Angela, Andrew, Malissa and Alexandra; three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at the Ringgold United Methodist Church with Reverend John Purrington officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ringgold United Methodist Church or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
