William Holden
William “Bill” P. Holden, 70, died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was an active member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and the Kingsbury Sunday School Class. He graduated from Ooltewah High School, attended UTC, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a past president of the Ringgold Rotary Club. He was the owner of Inner Space Systems for the past 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otis A. Holden, and his mother, Bonnie Holden; brother-in-law, Rev. Harper Sasser.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Gweneth Holden; son, Braden Holden (Robyne); stepson, Donald Brown (Teresa); stepdaughter, Denita Brown; three brothers, Donald Holden (Reba), LeBron Holden (Kay); Jerry Holden; sister, Barbara Rhodes (Bud); brother-in-law, Rev. Al Cunningham (Lynne); sister-in-law, Anna Sasser; grandchildren, Ryne Holden, Cory Holden, Billy Gaines, and Brittany Gilliam; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m., at Brainerd United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Dennis W. Flaugher, Reverend Al Cunningham, and Reverend Brian Kurtz officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday for one hour prior to the service.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Brainerd United Methodist Church, 4315 Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37411.
