Brainerd Presbyterian Church Hosts The LeFevre Quartet On Friday

  • Monday, January 20, 2014

The LeFevre Quartet will appear live in concert at Brainerd Presbyterian Church, Friday, at 6 p.m.   Members of the LeFevre family have been touring the nation since 1921 singing for presidents, dignitaries and music enthusiasts from all over the world.

Review for The LeFevre Quartet:

This edition of the quartet was voted “Horizon Group of the Year” in 2006, “Breakout Artist of the Year” in 2007, and in 2009 their song “Big Mighty God” was nominated for a Dove Award.  Each member of the group is an artist in their own right.

Mike and Jordan LeFever, father and son, head up this professional quartet along with tenor Thomas Nalley and Chattanooga’s own bass singer Brandon Barry, who has sung with several of the finest gospel quartets in America. Michael Lott rounds out the LeFevres as one of the most gifted pianists in the industry.

As part of Brainerd Presbyterian Church’s outreach to the community, everyone is invited to attend the gospel music concert free of charge. A love offering will be taken.

Dr. Tom Hammett, director of Music Ministries at Brainerd Presbyterian said, “Much of my education concerning Southern Gospel Music came through my association with Brandon Barry.  Brandon opened the doors to the special ministry provided through this style of Christian music.  This background was very helpful in my work at WDYN Radio.”

Brainerd Presbyterian Church is at 1624 Jenkins Road, just off of East Brainerd Road.  More information is available by calling 899-2424.
