Cyndia "Cindy" Lawson Parker
Cyndia "Cindy" Lawson Parker, 60, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at a local health care facility.
A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area, Cindy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to her family, and her passion for teaching and art.
Born Cyndia Lawson, she graduated from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (LFO) High School in 1983 and earned her associate’s degree from Dalton Junior College. For over two decades, she was the director and teacher at Fairview Baptist Church Kindergarten, where she touched the lives of countless children with her kind and nurturing spirit.
Cindy was a dedicated member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she expressed her love for the Lord through her kind actions and loving spirit. Beyond her professional and spiritual life, Cindy was a talented artist, finding joy in painting, drawing, and watercolors.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy Lawson and Martha Lawson.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Ron “Lee” Parker; daughter, Hannah (Ethan) Simmons; sister, Sheila (Eddie) Caheely; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 6 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
