Barbara Faye Knowles, 77, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Knowles was born May 17, 1937, in LaFayette, daughter of the late Homer Lee Floyd and Mattie May Cantrell Maxie. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the nursing field, and was also a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knowles was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Cooper; a sister, Martha Smith; and a brother, Jerry Branch.
Mrs. Knowles is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Tammy Cooper; grandchildren, Zac Cooper and Andrew Cooper; great-grandchildren, Kailyn Cooper and William Cooper; and companion, Walter Jones.
Funeral services for Mrs. Knowles will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Bill Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Knowles will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
