Billy Ray Smith
Billy Ray Smith, 62, of Ringgold, Georgia died on Sunday, December 28, 2014.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a former employee of the City of East Ridge and had been disabled for the past 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Wright and Mary Cecile Horn Smith; sister, Martha Ann Johnson and brother, Jimmy Lee Smith.
He is survived by his fiancée, Martha Anne Keller of Ringgold; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Joel Scott of Apison; son, Jonathan Smith of Ooltewah; two brothers, C.G. (Tot) Smith of Apison, and David Lebron Smith of Fort Oglethorpe; two mixed terriers, Ruffus Ray and Raggs Renee, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Dunwoody officiating. Interment will follow at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-9 p.m. and Wednesday until funeral time at the funeral home.
