Charles Lee Hampton, a.k.a. "Haircut", 59, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, February 21, 2014.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and had spent most of his life as a truck driver. He was a loving and devoted son, father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Lee Hampton.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Frances Cordell of Chickamauga; children, Joy Hampton Foster of Rossville, Amanda Lee Hampton of East Ridge, Windy Metcalf of Cloudland, Robert Lindsey of Belmont, N.C. and Stacy White of Chickamauga; four brothers, Richard Allen Hampton of Fort Oglethorpe, Terry Rex Hampton of Chickamauga, David Ray Hampton of LaFayette, and Wesley Steve Harris of Chickamauga; sister, Tina Lynn Smith of Chickamauga; five grandchildren, Dameon Tyler Barfield, Infinti Jade Foster, Miyah Danielle Foster, Amiraqle Lee Hampton and Kayleemarie Hampton and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Harry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will begin receiving friends after 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
