Once Upon a Time offers Princess Tea Parties

Once Upon a Time will have a grand opening on Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Plaza 58 Shopping Center, 4423 Highway 58, Suite 6.

Those who come dressed up as a princess will receive a free cookie.

Once Upon a Time offers Princess Tea Parties, creating a "charming and imaginative experience for a birthday girl and her guests where they will feel like real princesses."  The party will begin in the Princess Boutique with costumes and accessories, then jewels and hair sparkle at the Princess Salon.  They will receive Princess Dance and Princess Etiquette lessons.   The table setting includes real linens and china.

For the grand opening participants may receive a $10 princess mini makeover: hairdo light makeup, nails, tiara and fairy dust.  They may also have a picture made with a princess or prince of familiar fairy tales.

Once Upon a Time offers a variety of cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, whoopee pies, cookies, cakes and more.  There will be a select group of gluten free cupcakes on Saturday as well.

There will be drawings held throughout the day, including but not limited to cakes, cupcakes and cookies.

Kim VanHoozier, owner of Once Upon A Time, is native to the area.  Mrs. VanHoozier, her husband Ronnie and their five children live in the community. “This is my home; I want to pour into the community that has helped to raise me,” said Mrs. VanHoozier.

Once Upon A Time is a venue that provides Princess Tea Parties for girls of all ages, a place to have a unique touch for bridal or baby showers, or any special occasion.  Parties are made by appointment and consultation, but more than that it is a custom bakery.  There will be a variety of sweet treats including, but not limited, to cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies and cakes made to order.  “I want people to feel like they are walking into my home, welcome and loved,” said Mrs. VanHoozier.

"Once Upon A Time is seven years in the making – between adopting the four youngest children and a battle with cancer, it has been a long time planning," said Mrs. VanHoozier.  "If I can tell you anything I know to be true, God is faithful.  Dream big."
