Banther, Howard Marion (Cleveland)

Howard Marion Banther, 74, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. 

He was born on Oct. 5, 1941 to the late Howard Taft and Velma Shelton Banther. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Honestville Baptist Church.  Howard was a Veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Banther; sister-in-law, Faye Banther; and brother-in-law, Allen Evans.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph Leon Banther and Marty McNabb (Michelle); sisters, Hazel Evans and Beatrice McDaniel; brothers, Paul Banther (Gail), Price Banther and Steve Richardson (Katie); granddaughter, Mia; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11 and from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12 at Honestville Baptist Church located at 8526 Ooltewah Harrison Road, Ooltewah, TN. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Greg Banther and Pastor Jeff Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN.
