Glenn Fitzgerald, 81, of Soddy Daisy, died on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his residence.

He retired from Ironworker's Local #704 and had been a missionary with TWR.  Glenn was a 1952 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School where he served as class president.  He was the son of the late Gillespie Fitzgerald and Nina Varner Carmack and was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Keener.  Glenn was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Fitzgerald; children, Debi (Tim) West, Wayne (Karen) Fitzgerald, all of Soddy Daisy, Dianne (Perry) Vandergriff, Chattanooga, and Chris Fitzgerald, Soddy Daisy; brothers, Archie (Bea) Fitzgerald and Jerry Fitzgerald, all of Soddy Daisy, sister, Carolyn Behl, Michigan; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec 4, in the chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Captain Jason West officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Friday at Legacy Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, P. O. Box 46, Chattanooga, Tn. 37401.
