FALL COLOR TOURS

Looking for some great ways to see the fall colors? Chattanooga offers options by bike, boat and train. And the roads are always wide open for some cruising in your car or motorcycle.

  • BY BIKE – Hop on a bike from the Chattanooga Bike Share System and view the beautiful fall foliage on the 13-mile paved Riverwalk that runs along the Tennessee River and through the scenic Bluff View Art District. Bring your mountain bike and explore the trails at Stringer’s Ridge, Enterprise South Nature Park or on Lookout, Signal or Raccoon Mountains.
  • BY BOAT – Take a cruise into the Tennessee River Gorge where you’ll see nature’s brilliant canvas of fall colors. Cruises available aboard the Tennessee Aquarium’s River Gorge Explorer or Southern Belle Riverboat.
  • BY TRAIN – Jump on board the Tennessee Valley Railroad or Incline Railway for a variety of train rides that take you through the beautiful Tennessee or straight up Lookout Mountain.

FESTIVALS, ENTERTAINMENT & LIVE MUSIC

Enjoy a variety of fun during one of Chattanooga’s top festivals and events including Rocktoberfest, Oktoberfest, Wine Over Water, 3 Sisters Music Festival, Rock City’s Enchanted MAiZE & Blowing SCREAMS Farm, Ruby Falls’ Haunted Cavern, Lake Winnepesaukah’s WinnepeSPOOKah!, Tennessee Valley Railroad’s Halloween Eerie Express, Chattanooga Zoo’s Boo in the Zoo, and RiverRocks Outdoor Adventure Sports Games. PLAN YOUR VISIT

Chattanooga is experienced best when you spend a few days and really take time to enjoy your stay. Many of the accommodations provide special fall, family or romantic packages that save you money.

COMING UP…

When Chattanooga transforms itself to ChattaBOOga! in October, it’s not the typical haunted city. Only for the bravest of souls, there’s an intense haunted cavern crawling with terrifying creatures; menacing woods and a dark swamp teeming with monsters; and chilling ghost hunts in search of the city’s restless dead. For more mild experiences, families can enjoy 10-acre enchanted MAiZE; superhero divers carving pumpkins underwater; spooky rides aboard a haunted vintage train; trick-or-treating around zoo animals; and frightening fun on haunted amusement park rides.
