The Tennessee Aquarium announces Alison Pryor as their new media coordinator.

Alison is a native of the Tennessee Valley who visited the Aquarium on school field trips as a child. She has always loved math and science, subjects fostered by early environmental education and exposure to STEM curriculum. Those passions have translated to careers in science communication and public awareness.

She is a familiar name and personality around the Chattanooga region.
Before joining the Aquarium's communications team, she spent the previous six years as a meteorologist for Local 3 News.

In her new role as media coordinator, Ms. Pryor said she is excited to help raise awareness for the Tennessee Aquarium's freshwater science initiatives, education programs, new exhibit and offerings at the IMAX 3D Theater. She said she looks forward to engaging with media partners locally, regionally and nationally.
