Café on the Corner, an old time grocery store turned into local restaurant, is celebrating its one-year anniversary on Dec. 10 with tasty food specials, drinks, and live music.

The restaurant has been open for one year following a devastating fire that forced the restaurant to close for over a year.

“We are so excited to celebrate our first birthday in our new space and can’t for you to join us,” says Owner and General Manager Ruth Oehmig. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and last till 9 p.m.

Special guest Matt Downer who is a craft fiddler, banjo player and guitarist, will be playing from 2-4 p.m. Chattanooga Brewing Company will be producing a special brew just for Café on the Corner and all the proceeds from the beer sales will go to the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.

In the week leading up to this celebration there will be food specials and the opportunity to register to win free brunch for an entire year.
