Wanda Harrington-Crum
Wanda Harrington-Crum, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born on Jan. 5, 1958 to the late Rev. Edwin L. Harrington and Wynetta Radden, Wanda was a proud graduate of Riverside High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Clark Atlanta University. Her sharp mind and compassionate heart led her to a distinguished 30-year career with the Department of Human Services in Chattanooga, where she dedicated her life to helping families access vital support and services for daily living. She worked at Blood Assurance part time before her transition to eternity.
Wanda’s legacy lives on through her beloved daughter, Jessica Crum, and her treasured grandson, Cassius Alexander Crum. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Phyllis (Audry) Hardy of Columbus, Ohio; Allan Harrington; Barry (Callie) Harrington; Constance Harrington; Cheryl Harrington Hampton; Gerald Harrington (all of Chattanooga) along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family who will continue to honor her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Edwin L. Harrington and Wynetta Radden.
Wanda will be remembered for her deep empathy, unwavering strength and the kindness she extended to all who crossed her path.
Public viewing will begin at 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at noon on Thursday, July 31 in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave. in Chattanooga, 423-622-9995.
Interment will follow at Beautiful Greenwood Cemetery.
