Christian Guzman-Pantoja, 20, Arrested For Armed Robbery

Christian Guzman-Pantoja, 20, has been arrested for the armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, at the Circle K, at 2800 South Dixie Highway in Whitfield County.

At approximately 9 p.m., the 911 Center received a call from the clerk of the Circle K, reporting a robbery at the store. Upon arrival, officers determined a Hispanic male entered the store and walked around until all of the customers left. He then pulled out a large knife and demanded the female cashier provide him with the money from the register. Upon receiving the money, the suspect fled from the building on foot. Investigators were able to obtain a description of the suspect from the video surveillance system in the store.

On Wednesday, investigators identified the suspect and developed probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant on Guzman-Pantoja. Officers were unable to locate him until Thursday, at approximately 11 a.m. Investigators located the his vehicle on Liddell Street and found him hiding in the attic of his girlfriend’s apartment on Liddell Street.

He surrendered and was taken into custody. The knife believed to be used in the armed robbery was recovered after his arrest.

Guzman-Pantoja has been booked on the charge of armed robbery and is being held without bond.
