Marjorie Bates
Marjorie Priscilla Reed Bates, 88, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Otis J. and Edith Silvey Reed. Marjorie was a 1947 graduate of Ooltewah High School and was employed for many years at Cutter Laboratories. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe J. Bates.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, at Oakwood Baptist Church with Reverend Ben Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Hospice of Chattanooga, 45411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, or to Oakwood Baptist Church, 4501 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.
