Shook, Charles Edward "Duck" Jr. (Cleveland)

Charles Edward "Duck" Shook Jr., 56, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from his home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Duck, as he was affectionately known, was born September 27, 1960 and he was the son of the late Virginia Lee Sutton Shook and Charles "Bill" Shook Sr. and a life long resident of Cleveland.

Duck was involved with the Towing business most of his life. He owned and operated 18th Street Towing since 1976, spanning 30 plus years. He loved the towing business and he enjoyed fishing and dirt track racing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family! Duck” was Loved by everyone who knew him, and will be missed dearly. He was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years Joan Shook of Cleveland; his son, Charles Shook III with wife Jessica Shook and granddaughters Kali Long, Cloie Shook and Virginia Shook; his son, Jeffrey Shook with wife Amanda Shook and grandsons Christopher Shook and Hunter Shook; sisters, Janet Goins (Cleveland) and Charlene Luther (Benton); brothers, Riley Shook and his wife Renee (Ringgold GA), Curtis Shook (Cleveland) & Billy Shook (Cleveland); and several special close nieces, nephews and friends. 

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, March 2, at 1 p.m. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Shane Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Curtis Shook, Buck Despain, James Despain, Jeffrey Shook, Charles Shook, Rusty Froelich, Matthew Haire and Gabe West serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.

The family appreciates the outpouring of wonderful thoughts and condolences from the people who knew him.
