The Montessori School Names New Head Of School

  • Thursday, May 4, 2017
The Board of Directors of The Montessori School has announced the appointment of a new head of school, following the retirement of the school’s founder Bobbe Spink.

Chosen after an extensive nationwide search, Allison Driver will move into the head of school position effective June 12.

Ms. Driver currently serves as executive director at Project Reflect, a Nashville non-profit organization that focuses on transforming communities through education. Prior to that, she was operations director at the Smithson Craighead Academy for 13 years.
She received her bachelor of science in business management from Fisk University and a masters in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.

TMS Board President Robyn Carlton praised Ms. Driver, saying, “Allison exhibits strong business and personal skills and understands the value of embracing and engaging the community."

Ms. Driver will relocate to Chattanooga with her husband, Brandon Driver Sr., and their two children. She will replace Interim Head Nora Faris.
