County Commission Member To Be Part Of CVB Executive Committee

  • Wednesday, January 24, 2018

A member of the County Commission will be part of the Chattanooga Visitors Bureau executive committee, Commission Chairman Randy Fairbanks said.

He said he was approached by CVB officials who said that new president Barry White wanted the commission represented on the board.

Chairman Fairbanks said he will initially serve on the CVB board.

The County Commission earlier had a number of questions about the operation of the CVB and how proceeds of the county's portion of the hotel-motel tax were being spent.

Commission members said they were not receiving required regular updates from the CVB and had no representation on its board.
