Man Shot On West 48th Street Early Wednesday Morning

A man was shot early Wednesday morning on West 48th Street.
 
The Chattanooga Police Department responded at 1:19 a.m. to a person shot at 701 West 48th Street.
 
Upon arrival, Chattanooga Police Officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital by Hamilton County EMS. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
 
The victim advised he was sitting outside when he was shot, after being approached by several suspects.
 
Members of the Major Crimes Bureau are actively investigating this incident.
